Back to Basics?

Strolling through the East Village this weekend, I found myself in a garden of floral prints. In a season where patterns, punch and pizazz are sprouting like weeds in cracks of the concrete, I'm left secretly wishing to get back to my roots of simple, easy basics. As autumn approaches, I'm interested to see the seasonal adjustment to wardrobes. Although some renditions are fairly predictable (black tights. floral dresses and Dr. Martens), I'm curious to see a sophistication of the 90s resurgence among peers and passersby.
